The festive season is well and truly on its way. We’ve rounded up a few festive markets and fairs in Cambridge perfect for gathering your friends and family to celebrate the year gone by.

From glittering lights and markets full of independent artisans to cosy pubs that are perfect for enjoying a mulled wine sat by a roaring fire. During the festive season, Cambridge is a delight.

This festive season at Locke we’re celebrating getting together with friends and family. Whether that’s with a trip to the markets, ice skating or over a hot chocolate and mulled wine. Eddington Festive Market

Friday 24th – Sunday 26th November, Eddington Square, 27 Eddington Ave, Cambridge CB3 0EU

Located just outside Turing Locke, experience Eddington Square come alive. Filled with local, independent traders, you’ll find stalls selling bespoke arts and crafts, festive food and drinks and a number of workshops to get involved in, where you can create your own gifts.

Made in Cambridge Festive Market

24th November – 26th November, Enid Porter Room, Museum of Cambridge, 2-3 Castle St, Cambridge CB3 0AQ

Celebrating local Cambridgeshire makers, the Made in Cambridge Festive Markets is full of unique, handmade treasures. Treat you or your loved ones to a locally made gift, then enjoy wandering around the museum or local area. A perfect evening or day out with the family.

Mill Road Winter Fair

2nd December, Mill Rd, Petersfield, Cambridge CB1 2AD

A quintessential Cambridge Christmas activity. It is set on one of Cambridge’s most infamous streets, Mill Road. The Mill Road Winter Fair is a one-day of fun celebrating the local community. The fair sees local businesses, shops and stalls come together alongside entertainment such as musicians, artists and dancers.

Local Maker’s Market

18th November, Downing Place United Reformed Church, 4 Downing Pl, Cambridge CB2 3EL

Another festive market champions local Cambridge craft skills. With over 40 makers, expect a wide variety of gifts and treats to choose from. Browse artisanal, handmade goods that are perfect as a festive treat for yourself or your loved ones.

Festive Illuminations Trail at Wimpole

24th November – 31st December, National Trust Wimpole, Arrington, Royston, Cambridge, SG8 0BW

A festive treat, enjoy the season at Wimpole, the historical house and gardens. Experience an after-dark illuminations trail with over a million festive lights and seasonal sounds. You’ll also find the Mansion House decorated with festive delights. Enjoy seasonal food and drinks alongside local choirs singing Christmas carols.
